yup, still like that Canon 580EX flash. I just used it for a wedding last weekend and it did the trick. I'm still trying to find a good balance between flash and natural light in my pics, but I can see that it's possible. I got the shot of myself in this post by holding the camera below me aiming up and at the mirror while pivoting the flash 180% and aiming it up and at me/the ceiling. pretty fun stuff.
in other news, I have nearly finished the rennovation of my back room (studio/office). It's a much more inviting area now with new hard wood floors, new ceiling, painted walls and new cabinetry and bookcases and speaker wire run all over the place up through the ceiling.
i have a little time off this week and hope to produce some fine new photo prints from my new Epson r1800 printer and its roll feeder. I spent the last 2 weeks printing a bunch of childrens book art on a roll for my one design jobs and am now anxious to get to work printing my own stuff (I just got the printer a month ago and haven't really begun to put it through its paces yet.
